The Most Requested Weathervane ....

We have hundreds of weathervanes in many shapes and sizes. Some are more popular than other. Different themes run hot at different times. Two years ago, motorcycle weathervanes were big. Last year it was the dragon weathervane. This year - the most popular weathervane has to be the whale weathervane. We have a great selection of whales from $99.00 and up.
How long will the whale be king ? We will have to wait and see....

Hang Your Hose in Style

With our ever-expanding selection of home & garden accessories, I think the hose holders are among the most charming. I am amazed at how many people still have 1950's style hose racks. These hose holders are cast in solid aluminum (so they wont rust) then coated with many one of the many finish options.

Ten Reasons Why I Love our Copper & Brass Lanterns

I like to think we are different kind of retailer. We care about the products that we carry and do a lot of research and consideration before bringing a product line on board. When possible we visit and tour where they are made. This gives us better insight into the products we represent.  We have discontinued products that we thought of low quality or manufactures that were unable to offer the proper support and customer service.

That being said - I want to give you the reasons why I absolutely love the line of copper & brass lanterns available at the Cape Cod Weathervane Company

1) Made in the USA

2)  Underwriters Laboratories (UL) tested and approved.

3) We are able (and willing) to customize and modify most models.

4) Hand Blown Glass

5) Thicker & more durable glass than any mass produced lighting line

6) Timeless design that never go out of style

7)  Ease of changing light bulbs (thumb screws allow the entire cage to be removed from the             onion lantern)

8)  Wash your Onion globe in the dishwasher (by the same folks who created #7)

9)  Copper or Brass + 5 finishes + four glass options = endless possibilities

10) Lifetime Warranty !!

The Ultimate Wedding Gift

Heading to a wedding this summer ? Undecided on what to get ? Want to get something unique, but not something that will get packed away in the cellar with all that other "neat stuff"

Consider one of our wedding house plaques.

It's one of our more popular items and we get more people who comment on what a big hit the address plaque gift was. Keep in mind that these plaques are made to order and cast in a foundry in Michigan. Allow for 4-5 weeks for your order to arrive.

New Lantern Model: The Frosted Onion

This is so new, its not on our website yet.  I know I'm jumping the gun here, but so many of you have been waiting, I decided to post the picture and hope to get it posted to the website in the next week with specs, pricing, and options. Keep an eye out on our Onion Lantern page or call us for more info.

So what is the big deal, you may be asking yourself ??  Well can you say compact fluorescent light (CFL) ? People want to use these energy efficient lights, but they look lousy in a nice onion light fixture. That's where the Frosted Onion comes into play. The frosted glass obscures the unsightly CFL bulb while uniformly diffusing the light.

New Weathervanes ... Many Changes Coming !!

Its both exciting and frustrating. Our major weathervane tinkerer is doing a major overhaul on the copper weathervane line. Lots of discontinued models, but many new styles coming. Getting rid of old inventory... waiting for the coppersmith to make all the new models. Not to mention the time involved on updating the website. Its going to be a busy spring! Please bear with us while we sort things out. Despite people perceiving us as a larger company, We are on the small side. But we like it that way - it enables us to offer superb customer service and stay on top of things.  Needless to say if your holding out on buying that copper horse weathervane, don't wait too long - it may not be here next month.
